Abstract

Hypercholesterolemia plays a significant role in the formation of gallstones more important being the cholesterol gallstones. Lipid parameters including total cholesterol, triglycerides, high density lipoproteins and low-density lipoproteins show a significant relation with cholesterol gallstones. Patients with cholesterol type of gallstones have lipid profile parameters towards undesirable ranges as compared to other stones
