Study of effect of bupivacaine 0.5%, levobupivacaine 0.5%, ropivacaine 0.5% in subarachnoid block for elective lower abdominal surgeries with regard to hemodynamic parameters and complications/side effects

Abstract

BACKGROUND
In this study we wanted to evaluate and compare the effect of bupivacaine 0.5%, levobupivacaine
0.5%, ropivacaine 0.5% in subarachnoid block for elective lower abdominal surgeries with regard
to hemodynamic parameters and complications/side effects.
METHODS
This was a randomized controlled trial. It was conducted between December 2015 and September
2017 in the Department of Anesthesiology and Critical Care, Kempegowda Institute of Medical
Sciences, Bangalore, among three groups of 40 subjects each.
