Abstract

After 6 months breast milk alone does not consist all the nutrients for growing baby particularly iron and carbohydrate, so gradually introduce semi-solid foods for a baby to provide extra nourishment. A study was conducted to assess the knowledge of primipara mother regarding weaning diet. in selected rural area of Haldwaniwith a view to develop and administer information booklet. Objectives of the study was 1. To assess the knowledge of primipara mother regarding weaning diet . 2. To develop and administer information booklet on weaning diet. The study quantitative research approach was more effective to achieve the objective of the present study. In this study it shows that 22% mother having poor level of knowledge 68% having average knowledge & 10% having good knowledge regarding the weaning diet.
