Abstract

Abdominal surgery is a common medical procedure associated with a risk of 
postoperative infections. This study aims to investigate the prevalence of postoperative 
infections in a cohort of 200 abdominal surgery patients and identify associated risk factors. 
Methods: Sample Size: A total of 200 patients who underwent abdominal surgery were 
included in this prospective observational study. Data Collection: Demographic information, 
medical history, surgical details, and perioperative management were collected for each 
patient. Postoperative follow-up was conducted for a specified duration to assess infection 
occurrence.
