Objectives: Primary objective of the study was to measure and inquire glycemic control, blood pressure control, blood cholesterol control, BMI and smoking habits in diabetic mellitus patients presenting with acute coronary syndrome and/or heart failure. Similar parameters were measured in 6month follow up and compared as secondary objective
Methodology: The study was a prospective cross sectional observational study which recruited a total of 77 consecutivediabeticpatients with first episode of ACS and/or symptomatic heart failure admitted at a tertiary care hospital. Data focusing onHbA1c,bloo2dpressure, lipid profile esp. LDL, statin consumption, BMI and smoking status were collected at enrolment and at \6month follow up.
