Background: Chronic groin pain is a significant problem following open inguinal hernia repairlichenstein’s ,mesh repair , with a reported incidence ranging from 18 to 60.9% (1-3).Though the pain is often mild in nature, the quality of life studies have shown that chronic pain, irrespective of severity, can significantly interfere with normal daily activities(4-5). Most often, the condition can sometimes be debilitating and treatment is often difficult and challenging.
