Cirrhosis of the liver is associated with various disturbances of the endocrine system. Prolactin secretion follows a pulsatile pattern with characterisitic nocturnal rise. In patient with cirrhosis , associated with elevated 24 hours prolactin level and loss of circadian rhythm.
