Postoperative surgical site infections (SSIs) are a major cause of morbidity and mortality in
surgical patients. The study aims to identify the risk factors contributing to SSIs and evaluate the
preventive measures used to reduce their occurrence in a hospital setting. This prospective study
was conducted at a tertiary care hospital, including data from 2011, focusing on patients who
underwent various types of surgeries.
