Background: Patients at high cardiovascular risk are frequently prescribed statins. Low-density lipoprotein cholesterol (LDL-C), which is involved in the pathogenesis of cardiovascular disease, is reduced by these drugs. Materials and Methods: A prospective, observational study was conducted involving 120 high-risk patients aged 40-75 years, divided into three groups based on the prescribed statin: atorvastatin, rosuvastatin, or simvastatin. Patients were followed for 12 months to assess cardiovascular events (myocardial infarction, stroke, unstable angina, revascularization, and cardiovascular mortality), changes in lipid profiles, and adverse effects.
