Abstract

Syphilis is one of the oldest sexually transmitted infections caused by the bacterium Treponema pallidum subspecies pallidum. The epidemiology of syphilis has exhibited fluctuations and variations throughout its history. Nevertheless, syphilis remains a substantial public health issue. The lack of robust surveillance systems for sexually transmitted illnesses presents a tough situation in India. This study aims at assessing the high-risk behaviour and HIV association among syphilis patients.
