Abstract

Tennis elbow, also known as lateral epicondylitis, is a prevalent musculoskeletal disorder that affects the lateral aspect of the elbow, primarily caused by repetitive stress and overuse of the forearm extensor muscles. It commonly manifests with pain, tenderness, and weakness in the forearm and wrist, leading to functional limitations. Although conservative treatments such as rest, anti-inflammatory medications, physical therapy, and corticosteroid injections are typically used, they often provide only temporary relief. As a result, there has been growing interest in alternative treatment options, including Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) therapy, a regenerative medicine technique that utilizes the patient’s own blood components to promote healing.
