Analysing the clinical outcomes following the orthopedic management of vitamin D resistant X linked hypophosphatemic rickets (VDXLR)

.Abstract
To analyse the clinical outcomes of vitamin D resistant X linked hypophosphatemic rickets. Materials & methods: A total of 10 subjects patients with VDXLR were enrolled. Out of the total, 7 females and 3 males were included. 2 subjects were on medical treatment, and 6 subjects also underwent surgery, and 2 subjects with lengthening procedures. Data was collected. The results were analysed using SPSS software. Results: A total of 10 subjects were enrolled. 6 subjects had single bilateral corrective surgery. The deformation for the genuavara ranged from 10 to 32°, for crura vara from 13 to 18°, and for genuavalga from 15 to 25°. Conclusion: Medical treatment was important in children with VDXLR. The surgery and bone lengthening procedures depicted positive results.
