    Abstract

    Objectives: This study aims to examine the correlation between the ABO blood group system and the prevalence of hypertension in a tertiary care hospital setting. Additionally, it seeks to assess the distribution of hypertension among different blood groups and explore any gender predilection for hypertension across the ABO blood group system. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted at a tertiary care hospital with a sample size of 250 patients. Participants were screened for hypertension and their blood groups were recorded. Statistical analysis was performed to assess the association between blood group types and hypertension, considering gender differences.
