Abstract
Background: Overweight and obesity are significant public health challenges globally, contributing to a range of chronic diseases. This study aimed to assess the prevalence of overweight and obesity and identify their epidemiological determinants among adults. Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted among 500 adults aged 20-55 years. Participants were selected using multistage random sampling. Data were collected through structured interviews and anthropometric measurements following WHO STEPS guidelines. Body Mass Index (BMI) was calculated, and Asian-specific cut-offs were used to classify overweight (BMI ≥ 23.00 kg/m²) and obesity (BMI ≥ 25.00 kg/m²).
