Abstract
Introduction: Vitamin D, a steroid hormone, is essential for maternal and neonatal health beyond its traditional role in calcium metabolism. During pregnancy, vitamin D deficiency has been linked to adverse outcomes such as preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, preterm birth, and low birth weight. This study aimed to assess the relationship between second-trimester maternal serum 25(OH)D levels and pregnancy outcomes in an Indian cohort.
