    A Comparative Analysis of Epidural Block with Ropivacaine and Bupivacaine for Elective Gynaecological Surgeries

    Abstract

    Background: This study was conducted to compare the onset of sensory and motor block and time for maximum spread between ropivacaine 0.75% and bupivacaine 0.5%, the duration of analgesia and duration of motor blockade between ropivacaine 0.75% and bupivacaine 0.5%, the associated haemodynamic changes, and to evaluate the incidence of side effects in gynecological surgeries.
