    Abstract

    Type 2 diabetes is a chronic metabolic disorder characterized by elevated blood sugar levels and impaired insulin function. Achieving optimal glycemic control is crucial in preventing complications associated with diabetes. Antidiabetic medications play a pivotal role in managing diabetes and improving patients' overall health outcomes.Eastern Uttar Pradesh, India, is a region with a high prevalence of diabetes, posing significant challenges for healthcare providers.The study aimed to provide valuable insights into the efficacy and safety profiles of commonly prescribed antidiabetic medications, including metformin, sulfonylureas, DPP-4 inhibitors, and SGLT2 inhibitors, in this population
