Abstract
Introduction: Hypertensive disorders are the most common medical disorders encountered in pregnancy approximately 7% to 10% of all pregnancies. Hypertensive disorders are associated with foetal growth restriction, perinatal asphyxia, Iatrogenic prematurity, still births, preterm delivery, perinatal death, neonatal mortality and affects vital maternal organ system such as hepatic, renal, cardiorespiratory, cerebral and haematologic leading to maternal morbidity and mortality .
