    Abstract

    Appendicitis is one of the most common acute abdomen conditions requiring surgery, with a lifetime incidence of 6-8%. Appendectomy is one of the most common surgical procedures performed worldwide. With the advancements of minimally invasive surgery laparoscopic appendectomy has become the standard of care for patients with acute appendicitis and is treatment of choice for both complicated and uncomplicated appendicitis. Aim- The purpose of this study is to evaluate the outcome of laparoscopic appendectomy for the treatment of acute appendicitis.
