Abstract
Background: Electrolyte disturbances may have negative influences on the outcome of acute phase of stroke and timely early detection and correction of dyselectrolytemia may improve the outcome of acute stroke. If a relationship of hyponatremia with stroke outcome is found, it will be an independent, early and useful parameter to predict the prognosis and is likely to advocate a study to see the effect of intervention on the outcome. In this study the aim is to study relation of acute Hyponatremia (within 24 hours of presentation to hospital) with InHospital outcome of stroke patients
