Acute Kidney Injury in Children with Snakebite Evenomation in a Tertiary Care Hospital

Abstract
Background: Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a life-threatening systemic effect of snake envenomation. Monitoring of blood pressure, fluid balance, serum creatinine ,blood urea nitrogen and serum electrolytes is useful in managing AKI induced by snake envenomation. Antisnake venom is the effective treatment to prevent or reverse most of the harmful effects of snakebite envenomation.
