Abstract
Angiogenesis, the growth of new blood vessels from preexisting ones, is one of the essential features of tumor formation and is also important in a number of physiologic processes including growth and development, wound healing and reproduction. Intra tumoral blood vessels are known to play an important role in cancer growth by supplying oxygen and nutrients as well as excreting metabolic products, and are also associated with metastasis.
