Abstract
Background: Subclinical hypothyroidism (SCH) is typically identified when peripheral thyroid hormone levels fall within the standard laboratory reference range, yet there is a slight elevation in serum thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) levels. Thyroid hormone plays a critical role in regulating various cellular and molecular processes, affecting nearly every cell and organ in the body, including the heart.
