Most of them (64%) had studied High school, the majority of them (37%) resided in Aynur, the majority of them (90%) belonged to the Hindu religion. The majority of them (26%) were very dissatisfied with their salary, nearly 41% of the ASHA s were somewhat satisfied with the opportunities to use their abilities. With available information from our study, we strongly recommend fixing minimum wages, explicit job responsibilities with incentives, and fixed timings of work for ASHA workers, as the irregular and haphazard work timings are affecting their social and family life.
