    Abstract

At now, cardiovascular disease kills 17.3 million people annually and is projected to kill 23.3 million people worldwide by 2030. Currently, low- and middle-income nations account for 80% of all deaths from this cause. Material and Methods: The researchers at NRIIMS's Division of General Medicine conducted the observational study. The research was conducted at NRIIMS's divisions of general medicine between October 2021 and October 2022. The study comprised 200 people who had been admitted to the hospital after exhibiting symptoms of coronary heart disease and had had standard coronary angiography. Results: The epidemic of metabolic syndrome in the 21st century is a serious threat to public health. The risk of developing coronary heart disease and other cardiovascular disorders is elevated when a combination of physical problems and metabolic abnormalities occurs. Two hundred coronary artery disease patients who met the inclusion criteria underwent coronary angiography. Conclusion: In most cases, heart disease is preceded by the metabolic syndrome. Metabolic syndrome affects a higher percentage of women than men do who have heart disease. Older people with coronary artery disease are at a higher risk of developing metabolic syndrome.
