Abstract
Inhaled corticosteroids are well established for the long-term treatment of inflammatory respiratory diseases such as asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. They have been investigated for the treatment of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19). The anti-inflammatory action of inhaled corticosteroids might have the potential to reduce the risk of severe illness resulting from hyper-inflammation in COVID-19. Hence we undertook this study to assess the effectiveness of corticosteroids in reduction of COVID-19–related cough.
