Abstract
Most individuals with renal cell carcinoma (RCC), a malignancy, have a poor prognosis. Even though an increasing number of people have unintentionally discovered RCC, between 25-30% of those who have just been diagnosed with the disease already have metastatic disease. About 30-40% of the remaining patients with non-metastatic illness will develop local or distant metastases as they proceed. As a result, 50-60% of patients with a clinical diagnosis will pass away from a progressive illness
