    Abstract

    In the 1970,s No Scalpel Vasectomy (N.S.V) was developed & first performed in the planet in china by Dr. Li Shunqiang with the aim of reducing men’s fear related to this operation. (N.S.V) No Scalpel Vasectomy is one of the simplest, safest, cheap easy, minor terminal surgical procedures, used for male contraception male sexual physiology remains unchanged in post N.S.V clients. No significant long- and short-term risks are found associated with the procedure. Though contraceptive measures (condome contraception preferable) must be uesd for the first 90days following post N.S.V. or Till Seminal analysis reports becomes negative (without any spermatozoa). Material and methods: The study was cross sectional in design, vasectomized clients attending the surgical OPD (Out Patient Department) of our 650 beded former north 24 parganas district hospital.
