EXPLORING FETUIN-A AS A POTENTIAL BIOMARKER FOR TYPE 2 DIABETES MELLITUS: A CASE-CONTROL STUDY

Abstract
Background: This study aimed to investigate the association between various blood parameters and diabetic status, with a particular focus on Fetuin-A levels as a potential biomarker. Methods: A cross-sectional case-control study was conducted among 140 participants, comprising 70 cases with type 2 diabetes mellitus and 70 controls. Anthropometric measurements, blood pressure, fasting and postprandial blood glucose levels, lipid profiles, and serum Fetuin-A levels were assessed using standard techniques.
