Background: Surgical site infections (SSIs) represent a significant concern in surgical practice, contributing to adverse patient outcomes and increased healthcare costs. Pre-operative skin preparation methods, including antiseptic solutions and antibiotic prophylaxis, are pivotal in reducing SSIs.
