Abstract
Nanotechnology has revolutionized various fields of medicine, including dentistry. Nanoparticles, with their unique physicochemical properties, have emerged as promising tools for enhancing dental treatments. This review article aims to provide an overview of the current applications of nanoparticles in dentistry and explore their future potential. We discuss the synthesis, characterization, and properties of nanoparticles, as well as their utilization in areas such as restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, implantology, and oral surgery. Furthermore, we examine the challenges and safety considerations associated with nanoparticle use in dental applications. Overall, this article emphasizes the immense impact of nanoparticles on dental therapies and highlights the prospects for future advancements.
