Abstract
Pineal parenchymal tumours are uncommon, accounting for less than 0.3% of all primary CNS tumours. Pineal parenchymal tumours are diverse entities with a wide range of morphology. These tumours are histologically subdivided into pineocytoma (grade I), pineoblastoma (grade IV), papillary tumour of the pineal region (grade II or III), and pineal parenchymal tumour of intermediate differentiation (PPTID) (grade II or III) according to the WHO classification for tumours of the central nervous system (2021 revision)
