    Abstract

    Background Gestational Diabetes Mellitus (GDM) is defined as carbohydrate intolerance of variable severity with its onset or first recognition during pregnancy. GDM has its effect both on the pregnant women and the fetus, like- higher rates of cesarean deliveries, pregnancy induced hypertension and higher risk of developing Type 2 Diabetes in future.
