Owing to the lack of awareness of this disease and in absence of a breast cancer screening program, the majority of breast cancers are diagnosed at a relatively advanced stage. Objective: To study the status of estrogen receptor(ER), progesterone receptor (PR) and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 (HER2/neu) in breast carcinomas. Material and Methods: This descriptive study was conducted in all the lumpectomy, simple mastectomy and modified radical mastectomy specimens of diagnosed carcinoma breast submitted to the Department of Pathology, GSVM MEDICAL COLLEGE KANPUR for histopatholigical study. The study will include retrospective and prospective cases from July 2015 to September 2017. Results: 29.68% cases are Her2 neu positive and 70.32% cases are Her 2 neu negative. Most of the grade 1 and 2 tumors are ER positive and most of the cases of grade 3 are ER negative. Most of the grade 1 and 2 tumors are PR positive and most of the cases of grade 3 are PR negative. Acc to histological grades max triple negatives belongs to grade 3 and most grade 1 are luminal A type. Conclusion: The patients presenting at early age are associated with higher grades of tumour along with over expression of Her 2 neu and triple negative cases.
