    Abstract

Background: Adolescence is the time of life when a person's carefree childhood days are behind them and adult responsibilities begin to take over.Adolescent health in general is included in reproductive health.Abortion, giving birth, sexuality, contraception and the prevention of maternal mortality are all part of one overarching notion. An individual's reproductive health is heavily influenced by their biological, social, cultural, economic, and behavioral characteristics. The study's overarching goal was to learn more about adolescent girl's awareness and knowledge in order to improve health education and to better aid in srengthening women's identities.A cross sectional survey of 150 teenage girls was taken to assess their knowledge of and experience with gynecological issues and reproductive health education. Results: one hundred and fifty adolescent girls, most of them between age of 12 and 15,were recruited for the research .About half of the females reported experiencing dysmenorrhoea or painful or irregular menstruation. Awareness of reproductive health issues was determined to be adequate and of the many gynecological issues examined, monthly abnormalities were found to be the most frequent.
