    Abstract

Menstrual problems and inability to conceive are the leading causes of emotional and physical distress in post-pubescent women. The survey found that 10% of urban Indian couples in the reproductive age range were infertile. Material and Methods: The study was observational and cross-sectional. From the April 2021 to March 2022 at RIMS and Hospital, Adilabad, Telangana, India, 70 post pubertal women who had presented with complaints of monthly abnormalities for at least three months and/or infertility were included in our study. We continued the research after discovering polycystic ovaries via ultrasound. The study's ethics were cleared by the university's ethics board. Results: The mean age of our study population's PCOS patients was 25 years old, and all of them met at least two of the three criteria for PCOS: 76.6% had clinical features of hyperandrogenism and USG -PCO finding, 26% had biochemical features of hyperandrogenism and USG -PCO finding, and 60% of women presented with all three criteria. Conclusion: Polycystic ovary syndrome is a poorly understood complicated condition that necessitates careful management. Given the importance of ethnicity in this condition, it is important to understand how it manifests in various populations
