Background & Methods: The aim of the study is to compare PRP with that of conventional methods on non-healing ulcers. All patients in study underwent a detailed history taking including general examination. Under aseptic precautions 20 ml of venous blood was drawn and added to a test tube containing acid citrate dextrose in a ratio of 9:1 (blood: Acid citrate dextrose), centrifuged at 5000 rpm for 15 min to separate the red blood cells from the platelets and plasma. Results: The comparison of mean area affected at different duration between the two treatment methods. There has been no significant changes up to 4 weeks. The table shows a significant change after 6 weeks (p<0.05).However in further weeks, the comparison of mean area affected is not significant but shows that the number of patients recovered under PRP method is high.
