Abstract
INTRODUCTION Diabetes Mellitus is the most common endocrinological disorder characterized by metabolic abnormalities and long-term complications. The incidence and the prevalence of Type 2 DM is globally increasing and becoming a major public health problem for health care providers. Adenosine deaminase (ADA) is suggested to modulate the bioactivity of insulin, but its clinical significance in Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) is not yet established .The present study was undertaken to evaluate serum ADA activity in patients of Type 2 DM.
