Abstract

The aim of present work was to prepare and evaluate topical dosage forms such as ointment and gel from extract of Ehretia acuminate (Khanduchakka). Ointment can stay on the application surface for a long time before being wiped away. These ointment properties aid in the prolongation of drug delivery at the place of application. Sustained release become important to supply the skin with a drug over a prolong period of time hence, a dermatological delivery system such as gel was considered to be formulated
